We’re going SUPER GREEN this Fall with the launch of an exciting new residential construction project.
We’re attempting to build one of Canada’s GREENEST homes and are striving to break the current record for the highest LEED Platinum score in the country! This spectacular home will aim to achieve the highest ever achieved Built Green BC checklist score and it will be one of the first homes to meet the NEW R-2000 certification for energy efficiency.
Slated for completion in 2013, “Midori Uchi” will be a contemporary new showhome in North Vancouver that will feature the most advanced sustainable building supplies, features and techniques, all provided by our gracious partner suppliers. A sample of the unique features of the home will be:
- Rammed Earth walls (first time in a single family residence in the Lower Mainland)
- Rainwater recycling
- ICF foundations
- Solar Thermal
- Solar PV
- In Home energy monitoring and tracking
- Concrete made from recycled building waste
- Reclaimed Lumber and Building materials
Given the innovation of this project, this will be an unprecedented marketing opportunity for any building supply manufacturer or construction service company to capitalize on what’s expected to be one of Canada’s most high profile residential projects.
